Beach Shark Safety Barrier

Making it safe to return to the beach again

Allen Hydro Energy Corporation (AHEC) has developed a solution that will prevent shark attacks on swimmers and being dragged to sea by rip-tides.

With increasing ocean temperatures due to climate change, there is an increasing number of Shark Attacks. Communities depend on the millions of dollars generated from tourism each summer. Our Beach Shark Safety Barrier design is a submerged section of fencing that places a barrier at beaches to prevent large and small sharks from attacking swimmers. AHEC’s Beach Shark Safety Barrier uses seawater proof fencing, which creates a wall of metal that hangs in the water with floating balls to create a barrier between sharks and swimmers. It expands with the height of the tides.

AHEC’s Beach Shark Safety Barrier creates a barrier between sharks and the ocean and the entire length and width of the beach area, providing a safety zone for swimmers. It will also serve as a rip-tide safety measure that prevents swimmers from being dragged out to sea.
